Helping Heroes on The Lawn at Howard Smith Wharves

To honour the emergency service heroes who have and continue to fight the Australian bushfires, Howard Smith Wharves have partnered with Rush Entertainment to show their support. This Saturday afternoon there will be live entertainment from Samantha Jade, Alfie Arcuri and Lai Utovou and others, including magician Josh Norbido! Howard Smith Wharves has also partnered with Foodbank to help with ongoing disaster relief in Australia. If you wish you donate, you’re invited to bring a donation of non-perishable food or other grocery items. Need an idea of what to donate? You can view the items in need here. All profits from the event will be donated to WIRES, the New South Wales Rural Fire Service and the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.

New flavours at La Macelleria!

Head down to La Macelleria in Teneriffe this Saturday to try their brand new Bubble Tea creation, available for one day only at each of the Brisbane stores! Made with milk tea gelato and topped with tapioca pearls, this mouthwatering creation is definitely one you’ve got to try. While you’re there, have a taste of their new Vegan Coffee flavour too, available this month only!

Can’t make it this Saturday? Fear not! The Bubble Tea flavour will be available at the West End store next Saturday February 15, the Coorparoo Square store on Saturday February 22 and at the Bowen Hills store on Saturday February 29.

The Boundary Hotel goes country

Get your cowboy boots out because the wild west has arrived at The Boundary Hotel and you’re invited! Are you a big fan of country music? Well, The Boundary is the place you want to be on Friday and Saturday nights this month. The popular West End venue will have you belting out all your favourite country music hits from Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Brookes & Dunn and of course, the Dixie Chicks. Closing night of The Midsummer Carnival

If you love immersive theatrical experiences, this is one you don’t want to miss. Inspired from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the Brisbane Immersive Ensemble’s adaptation of the famous comedic play will have you hooked from the moment you arrive. Catch one of the final two performances of The Midsummer Carnival at Brisbane Powerhouse before the curtains close for the last time this Saturday evening!

Indoor Plant Warehouse Sale

Are you ready to get your indoor plant fix for 2020? The huge indoor plant warehouse sale is back for another year! In an effort to help raise funds for the Australian bushfire relief appeal, The Jungle Collective will match every $1 donation! These funds will go to the Australian Red Cross, Animals Australia and Greening Australia.

Grand opening of the McCaskie Park Outdoor Screen and Performance Space

There is a new entertainment facility coming to Kelvin Grove! As part of the grand opening of the new screen and performance space at McCaskie Park this Saturday afternoon, you can watch Aquaman (and yes, with free popcorn) at 6.45pm. The official opening will be at 5pm with a Welcome to Country and performances until 6.30pm. Guests can enjoy a free obstacle course, games, face painting, circus activities, food trucks, performances and more.

To help raise funds for bushfire relief, The Milk Factory will host ’50 Bands for Fire Relief’ this Sunday. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross and Support Act charities. There will be music from The Cosmic Bogan, 2nd Time Over and The Dagwood Dogs!
