$1 Pork Dumplings at Jade Buddha – Tuesday, 29th September

We can all agree that dumplings are indisputably the greatest little pockets of flavour known to man! To celebrate these tasty treats, Jade Buddha will be hosting 1 hour of $1 Pork Dumplings this week!
The set-up is simple, dine between 12-1pm or 6-7pm and receive a plate of 10 mouth-watering pork dumplings at any one time throughout the hour-long session. The only catch? You will need to order a drink with each plate of pork but, trust us, there is no better way to enjoy the panoramic views of the Brisbane river than with a cold one in your hand.
Limited stock is available so be sure to get in early because who doesn’t want to get their chopsticks (and mouths) around these delicious pillows of heaven?

Starward Whisky Tasting Dinner – Thursday, 1st October

Ehden Bar and Kitchen West End invites you to dine in style at their Starward Whisky Tasting Dinner! Ticketed at $185pp, guests will enjoy a carefully curated collection of whiskies from the Starward portfolio with a carefully matched food pairing. And it doesn’t just stop there – guests can take home their very own bottle of Starward Two-Fold valued at $75!
Starward’s world-class whisky is made right here in Australia. Made in Melbourne, this cool crew of whisky makers use wine barrels to mature their whiskies and use locally sourced ingredients. Think Starward Two-fold matched with king fish ceviche or Starward Solera matched with banoffee panna cotta – yum!

Hotel Carrington’s Grand Re-Opening – Thursday, 1st October

If you’ve been looking for a reason to get out of the house (in a safe way of course), this is the event for you! Hotel Carrington invites you to enjoy espresso martinis, free tapas, live music, and lots of laughs in their newly refurbished space!
The team at Hotel Carrington have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring Brisbane a bigger and better water-hole with their $1.9 million refurbishment and expansion.
While the event is completely free for you to attend, however guests are required to register to ensure that everyone stays COVID safe all night long. Head on down to one of Wickam street’s favourite locations for a cheeky cocktail, tasty tapas, and a good time!

Valley Laneway Markets – Saturday 3rd October

Nestled amongst Brisbane’s heritage listed buildings is where you will find the Valley Laneway Markets this Saturday, 3rd of October from 9am-2pm. Stroll through Bakery Lane, California Lane, Winn Lane and the Brunswick Street Mall to discover an integration of quality, innovation, and fresh design.
Spend the day exploring the plethora of stalls, listen to live music and eat your way through the many eateries on offer. Guests can expect to find a multitude of stalls featuring art, ceramics, fashion, jewellery, skincare, homewares, plants, and pre-loved and vintage goods.

Free Yoga Challenge – Saturday 3rd October

The Medibank Feel Good Program is a series of free fitness classes held at the beautiful Southbank parklands, and this week marks the launch of their Free Yoga Challenge! Bring your pals or fly solo under the city’s sea of green foliage located along the Brisbane River for a session of relaxation and laughs.
Be sure to pack a water bottle, towel, and yoga mat if you have one (but your trusty beach towel will work just as fine)! Pre-registration is required to attend classes, with the first one being held on Saturday, 3rd of October from 8-8:45am with class following on Monday the 5th from 5:30-6:15pm and Saturday the 10th from 8-8:45am.
This program also offers a range of other free classes including barre, pilates, ballroom dancing, Latin fitness, Bollywood dancing, bootcamp, mums & bubs, Tai Chi, and Zumba! Be sure to check out their site for more details!

Saturday Graze Lunch at Cloudland – Saturday 3rd October

Cloudland’s Saturday Graze is the only way to ‘lunch’ on a Saturday afternoon. Take a seat under the glimmering lights of this palatial venue as you sip on a sav and nosh on some notable flavours!
This lavish lunch experience will be held from 12-4pm, however under current COVID guidelines guests can only dine for up to 2 hours so be sure to select your arrival time at the Eventbrite checkout! Nestle into this opulent oasis and indulge on the $45 grazing package, or the $69 grazing and bottomless beverage package!
The grazing menu will include an assortment of wood-fired breads and dips, arancini, pizza, fried ascolana olives, lamb meatballs and cheese platters! Suitcase Rummage Brisbane – Sunday 4th October

Suitcase Rummage is back baby! This Sunday, Brisbane’s city square will turn into a second-hand haven. Be sure to pack plenty of reusable bags for your finds or bring a suitcase (or two) packed full of your pre-loved goods!
In case you don’t know, Suitcase Rummage is a mini-scaled market with giant rewards; it promises to be everything that is a market but without the hassle. Market-goers can expect to find vintage artwork, bric-a-brac, clothing, books, jewellery, hand-made items, shoes, records, badges, cards, handmade paper and plenty more!

Mr Percival’s River Disco Queen’s Birthday Edition – Sunday 4th October
