Calling all whisky aficionados! The Boundary Hotel invites lovers of fine whisky to an intimate six-course Johnnie-Walker dinner. 

The Johnnie Walker Ghost & Rare Dinner will be an evening not to be missed. For $189pp guests can expect a luxurious six-course menu, including davidson plum cured kingfish, seared scallops, wagyu rump with shitake mushrooms and red wine jus, a chocolate tart with a whisky caramel and plenty more.

For those that are interested in the whisky menu, you’ll be treated to a taste of some of Johnnie Walker’s finest including the Johnnie Walker’s Blue Label Ghost & Rare Port Ellen and Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare Glenury Royal. Guests will also get to take home a complimentary Johnnie Walker King George Glass at the end of the evening.

Embrace Brisbane’s newest outdoor location by soaking in some afternoon sun, sipping on an ice cold brew and channel your inner yogi. There is no better way to end a day than by taking part in one of these sensational Vinyasa Slow Flow sessions run by the incredibly talented Nina Lee of Sukhino.

Brisbane Twilight Cruise – Thursday 24th to Saturday 26th September

Experience Brisbane’s sensational sunset aboard a Mirimar Twilight Cruise down the Brisbane river this weekend! Relax and enjoy Brisbane’s beautiful cityscape as your cruise along the river to watch the sunset and the sparkle of the city lights across the evening sky.

Board the cruise at the Cultural Centre Pontoon, located outside the QLD State Library, for a 4:30pm departure as you sip on a complimentary cocktail. The spacious 22 metre catamaran has plenty of indoor and outdoor areas for optimum sunset and city light viewing.

Guests will spend an afternoon mixing and making some modern, funky masterpieces. You’ll get behind the bar then learn, make, and drink your own creations. If you’ve ever wanted to get your technique just right, now’s your chance! This weekend’s theme is ‘Island Dreaming’ – think refreshing mojitos and fruity polished princesses.

Not only will you make and taste these delicious drinks but guests will learn the basic structure of cocktails, the evolution of cocktails from the 90s to now, and, best of all, perfect the art of pulling off a great cocktail with whatever you’ve got at home!

With a menu including Hendrick’s teapots, gin bathtubs,  and cocktails on fire – a cocktail masterclass with these guys certainly won’t disappoint!

Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers Finale – Sunday, 27th September

Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, is of course, the gold standard for events in Australia and will be coming to a close this weekend and trust us, you won’t want to miss it!

From dawn to dusk, attendees can enjoy live music and parkland entertainment, tuck into a variety of local food trucks, watch the Grand Central Floral Parade, partake in guided twilight tours, drink through the Talking Pubs tour, view the canvas of colour atop the carnival ferris wheel, and course flowers – a sea of 170,000 to be exact!

This spectacular annual event is also dog friendly so the whole family can enjoy this magical day out!
