Put your best fashion foot forward at Brisbane’s 2020 Fashion Month

Queensland’s major fashion and runway event, Brisbane Fashion Month, is set to take over the city for the entire month of October! The month-long festival is Queensland’s largest showcase of local designers, featuring more than 50 Queensland labels. Now in its fifth year, Brisbane Fashion Month (BFM) boasts its biggest line-up yet, with more world-class designers, runways, panel discussions, and networking and development opportunities than ever before.

The city’s only major fashion and runway event for 2020 will be staged at its new home; the newly launched Breakfast Creek Lifestyle Precinct by LSH Property Australia. Boasting panoramic views of the Brisbane River and surrounding suburbs, this luxurious destination is Brisbane’s newest epicentre of style and innovation.

“The fact we are able to stage our Resort Finale runway and other key events at one of Brisbane’s most iconic new landmarks Breakfast Creek Lifestyle Precinct signals a real coming-of-age for Brisbane Fashion Month,” explains Festival Director Laura Churchill.

The 2020 Brisbane Fashion Month calendar boasts a variety of events, both free and ticketed. BFM will feature; indoor and outdoor runways, an outdoor accessories market, sustainable fashion walking tours, the Brisbane Beauty Forum event, and unique digital-only content and live streaming of all major events. Also joining the line up this year is the debut of the Art and Fashion Forum hosted by Vault magazine’s Alison Kubler

Brisbane Fashion Month Director Laura Churchill says she is thrilled to once again bring together the most talented and creative names of Queensland’s fashion industry during October. “The effects of the 2020 pandemic have been devastating for so many industries, ours included, so there is no better time to bring together all this incredible state has to offer for a month-long opportunity to highlight and network with the biggest names in the industry.”
