Pop Down to Bulimba for this Beguiling New Pop Up

Besitos, a luxurious new addition to the Brisbane scene, will be opening later this month in Bulimba—and we are pumped!

A stylish, after dark restaurant, Besitos is primed to offer a sumptuous array of Mediterranean-inspired dishes from within a rustic, sharply modern warehouse interior. A vast, open kitchen complete with a flaming grill sees fit to transform cooking into theatre, as diners may view a chorus of cooks effect pure, culinary wonderment.

Situated inside Bellissimo café (35 Oxford St, you know the place), Besitos presents a small sharing menu—perfect for the indecisive diner or the intrepid gotta-try-it-all gourmand. Subtle, candle-lit, and promisingly curated, this is sure to become a paragon of the transformative dining experience.

Besitos, from the Spanish meaning ‘little kisses’, are just what you’ll want to give executive chef Marco Torrisi after sampling some of the creations on offer at this zesty new establishment—because the food looks incredible. To give you a taste, their opening seasonal winter menu features such splendid dishes as charred bone marrow with salsa verde on toasted brioche, burnt miso toothfish tacos, handmade pasta, hot pot mussels, and the delightfully exotic emu tartare.

A vision three years in the making, Besitos will have an extensive bar and a unique bar menu, as well as glorious fine dining options. According to Marco, everything from the open kitchen to the coherence of the various dishes was artfully designed with an innovative, adventurous experience in mind.

Mark Bignell, owner of Bellissimo, remarked upon the talent of the team, its dedication, and its passion, expressing his desire to share those proud qualities with the culinarily inclined of Brisbane. For pleasures ranging from the modest to the majestic, the traditional to the curious, Besitos promises a rich and intriguing affair. Hosting Thursday to Sunday from 5pm, Besitos is open to the public from July 21, and bookings are now available! Just visit https://www.besitos.com.au/
