Hawthorne’s just gotten a fiesta-worthy new taqueria and bar! Meet Cartel Del Taco!
Leave your el Paso at home and head on over to Cartel Del Taco. With its grand opening last Friday (April 1st), owners Erick Martinez and Marco Ramirez – originally from Mexico City – have put their heart and soul into creating an authentic Mexican street-style restaurant and bar.

The pair have spent time travelling back and forth to Mexico in preparation for the opening. All of their ingredients have been carefully sourced and executive chef and co-owner Erick has curated a menu that will transport you to Mexico City – no passport necessary.
His love for vegetarian food has also helped him master a menu that is inclusive to all, with both gluten-free and vegan options available.

The community of Hawthorne has waited eagerly for this opening as the pair’s dream slowly but surely comes together after three years in the making!
Not only does the food transport you to Mexico, but the entire theme of the restaurant aims to give you an experience as authentic as possible. The 1980s themed taqueria, as you’d expect, has a strong focus on tequila in their bar and their extensive cocktail and margarita list.
Let’s get Taco-ing about Cartel Del Taco! And don’t forget to tag @Brisbane in any Pics you take at Cartel Del Taco.
