Pan fried, barbecued, in bread, sliced, diced, or disguised as haggis, however you sausage fiends like this meaty treat served, South Bank’s Gourmet Sausage and Beer festival is the event for you!
From Saturday the 7th to Sunday the 8th of November cultures will combine to bring together a multicultural festival for sausage lovers on Little Stanley Street’s southern lawn. From the haggis of Scotland to the salami of Italy, countries around the globe have their own unique varieties of this much-beloved meat and South Bank will be the bucket list stop for self-confessed sausage connoisseurs!

This sizzling sausage mecca will feature a range of specially made gourmet artisanal sausages from some of South Bank’s favourite restaurants and bars including The Charming Squire, Tai Tai, Hop & Pickle, Fritzenberger, Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers, Brooklyn Depot, Shysh, Baba Ganouj and Tippler’s Tap. Lovers of the humble snag will have a chance to sample a range of worldly flavours from each restaurant and bar’s unique sausage offering including traditional Italian, Lebanese, British, Chinese style sausages and more!

The lawn will be filled with live music from 11am to 6pm across the two-day celebration with unique craft beer and cider on offer from the Charming Squire’s pop-up bar. This ticketed event is limited to 300 guests per session over the two days and each session will run for 2 hours. The Gourmet Sausage and Beer Festival will offer up adult tickets ($30) which include a choice of sausage samplers, slaw and chips (or $39 which includes a beer flight) and children’s tickets (12 years and under, $15); which include a sausage, chips and soft drink. Guests will be treated to three seriously luxurious sausage samples across the weekend celebration! The first sausage sampler plate will feature Brooklyn Depot’s pork and cheese kranksy with pickled chilli, Hop & Pickle’s British-style Cumberland sausage with branston pickle, and Gnocci Gnocci Brothers’ pork and fennel sausage with apple and cider relish.
The second sausage sampler plate will include Fritzenberger’s buffalo chicken sausage with craft beer onions, Tippler’s Tap’ Chicago sausage with American mustard, and The Charming Squire’s wild boar and kangaroo sausage with Rosella Relish.
The final sausage sampler plate will be treating guests to Shysh’s Saoujouk sausage with tomato relish and pickled chilli, Baba Ganouj’s makanek Lebanese sausage with pomegranate molasses and lemon, and Tai Tai’s Taiwanese pork and rice sausage with pickled cabbage and garlic sauce. All sausage samplers will be served with slaw and chips, yum!
